Steve Stone started his fourteen year professional baseball career in 1969. He pitched for the San Francisco Giants, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs and Baltimore Orioles.

Steve won over 100 games in the major leagues in a career that included pitching in the 1979 World Series, starting in the 1980 All-Star Game, and winning the American League Cy Young Award that same year.
In June of 1982, Steve retired from baseball and teamed with Al Michaels, Keith Jackson, Don Drysdale, Bob Uecker and Howard Cosell to for two teams of three on ABC's Monday Night Baseball. He joined WGN to sit alongside Harry Caray and broadcast Cubs baseball from 1983 until Harry's death in 1998. Steve and Harry's grandson, Chip Caray, both left WGN after the 2004 season.
Steve has worked for CBS and ESPN on radio and television baseball broadcasts. He currently has three radio shows a week on 670 The Score in Chicago as well as occasional ESPN radio and television broadcasts.
